CLEARANCES (TYPE PL) AND REPLACE MENT CROSS CHAINS
The General Services Administration has authorized the use
of this commercial item description.
Salient characteristics:
Restricted clearance passenger car regular tire chains and replacement cross chains furnished under this commercial item description shall comply with the National Association of Chain Manufacturer tire Chain Specifications (NACM-5179, TC).
The issue of NACM-5179, TC in effect on the date of the solicitation shall be used to determine compliance with stated requirements.
Code Number. The following code numbers apply to the National Stock Number (NSN), tire size, side chain length, cross chain length, and replacement cross chain code number.
