3.2.1 Topcoat color. The final topcoat color of the assembly shall match green 383, #34094 of FED-STD-595 unless otherwise specified, and shall resist the absorption of liquid chemical agents (see 7.3 and 7.4).
3.3 Hazardous material. The assembly shall not produce any hazards to personnel or the environment resulting from the use of asbestos or cadmium.
3.4 Identification and marking. Identification and marking of the assembly shall be permanent and legible and shall include, as a minimum, the manufacturer’s CAGE code and the part identification number (PIN) (see 7.1 and 7.3).
4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS.
The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered material to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).
5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE.
5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producer’s own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance.
6. PACKAGING. Preservation, packing, and marking shall be as specified in the contract or order (see 7.3).
